Sky has cleverly used technological convergence in order to encourage the viewers to get interactive on their site, view pictures etc. but also to promote the film which they will either then go on to buy on DVD, rent or even watch on the sky channel/website itself. This is also multiplatform release, allowing the viewer to be able to watch the film easily, from their homes, as well as being able to go out and watch it. Many people like viewing films from their own homes and so by Sky letting them do this, it encourages more people to watch it, broadening reach and gaining revenue.
